Box Score Kingsville, TX - Texas A&M-Kingsville completed a wild, 21-point comeback, to beat West Texas A&M 28-21 Saturday from Javelina Stadium.

Mills Dawson found
Christian Kretz in the back of the endzone for a 37-yard touchdown to give the Javelinas (3-2, 3-0 LSC) their third straight Lone Star Conference win in comeback fashion over the Buffaloes (1-3, 1-2 LSC). The touchdown from Dawson to Kretz erased what was a 21-point deficit for the Javelinas in the second half in which the Javelinas would score 28 unanswered.
The Javelina dominated the Buffs when it mattered most in the fourth quarter, outgaining West Texas A&M 189-15 in the final quarter. The rushing attack for the Javelinas was especially effective in the final quarter of play, as the Javelinas gained 109 rushing and notched eight first downs on their way to scoring a pair of touchdowns in that quarter to pull out the win.
Edward Chumley was the main engine that drove the Javelinas rushing attack late in the contest. The sophomore from Anna, Texas, racked up a career-high 182 rushing yards on 31 carries to keep the Javelinas afloat as they were trailing early in the game. Chumley would get the Javelinas on the board first through the passing game thanks to a 21-yard screen play. Chumley then scored from a yard out for his second touchdown of the game to bring the Javelinas within one score.
In the fourth quarter, facing a fourth and six from the WTAMU's 19 yard line, Mills uncorked a go-ball high into the air for Kretz, who had to make an adjustment and backtrack to get to the ball before wrestling it away from the West Texas defender to even up the game at 21 apiece. The Javelinas then forced a three-and-out thanks to a key third down stop from
Rolland Trent that setup the game winning score from Dawson to Kretz.
