Javelina wrap up East Bay Invitational in 11th place

Hayward, CA - Texas A&M-Kingsville finished its first of two tournaments in the western part of the country with an 11th place finish at the East Bay Invitational on Tuesday.

After a rocky start to the tournament, the Javelinas rallied in the third round with the seventh best score of +26 to finish just outside the top ten at the Stonebrae Country Club.  The Javelinas improved their round in each of the three rounds of the tournament, going from +46 through the first round all the way down to the aforementioned +26 scoreline.

Zoe Dean had a stellar tournament for the Javelinas, finishing in a tie for 11th place among all participants at the invitational. Her +13 score was good enough for third among all Lone Star Conference participants at the tournament as well. Dean also finished in a tie for the third best score on par 3's and par 4's at Stonebrae.

Amelie Marling finished behind Dean with a +25 score, good to slot her in a tie for 39th. Viviana Farias finished next for the Javelinas with a +37 score and a 57th place ranking. Mekdes Rozas and Amabely Rodriguez wrapped up the scorecard for the Javelinas with a 67th and 70th place finish respectively.

Texas A&M-Kingsville will have a two-day turnaround before their next tournament at the Las Vegas Desert Classic host by the University of Missouri - St. Louis. Fans of the Javelinas can follow the action at JavelinaGolf on all social media platforms.
