BILLINGS, Montana- The Texas A&M-Kingsville women's basketball team took to the court in Billings, Montana one last time as day three was the final day of the Division II CCA Tip Off Tournament hosted by Montana State University Billings. The No. 2 ranked Minnesota State Mankato Mavericks were the next opponent for the Javelinas who took the game 76-65.
"I thought as the game went on, we settled in and played better." said coach
Michael Madrid. " Mankato does such a tremendous job of forcing teams to play out of their comfort zones and we had a stretch in the second quarter that ultimately was the difference in the game. So proud of our team and our growth this weekend. They battled quality teams and never flinched. This will be a trip that will help us later in conference. We are also extremely grateful to our administration and athletic director for allowing us to have these types of experiences. Looking forward to our next opportunity".
