KINGSVILLE, Texas – The Texas A&M-Kingsville volleyball team returns home this week to match up against the Dallas Baptist Patriots on Friday, Oct. 14 at 6 p.m.
The Javelinas (10-6, 2-2 LSC) come into Friday after a tough road-trip, losing both times out against University of Arkansas Fort Smith three sets to one and Oklahoma Christian three sets to none. The Blue and Gold facing challenges on the road, now turn their focus to the Steinke Physical Education Center and to Dallas Baptist University as they aim to get back on track and continue their dominance at home.

Allison Stachowiak also doing their part, both with hitting percentages over .200 and six kills apiece.
Both teams look to be a threat on offense as they sit right next to one another in the top five in hitting percentage in the Lone Star Conference. TAMUK sits in fourth with a .228 line and DBU rounds out the top five in fifth with a .226 hitting percentage.
Dallas Baptist (13-4, 6-0 LSC) is coming into Friday with a seven-match streak under their belt, leaving them and UAFS the only undefeated LSC teams left. This is the best start DBU has had in program history, being 6-0 in conference play.
The Patriots look to continue on their streak as they swept Western New Mexico last time out three sets to none where they had a team hitting percentage of .344 and 45 total kills.
Heading into Friday's match, the Javelinas hold a 4-2 all-time record against the Patriots. Both squads enjoying their home court advantage against one another, as the Javelinas are undefeated at home and are 1-2 on the road verses the Pats.
