KINGSVILLE, Texas – Texas A&M-Kingsville women's basketball coach Michael Madrid has announced the dates for a pair of camps that will be held in the summer of 2022. 
 
The first event on the docket is a position & fundamental high school camp, open to those entering grades 9-12. It will span two days, beginning on Monday, June 27, and ending on June 28, with each day starting at 1 p.m., and ending at 4 p.m. This camp is designed explicitly for varsity level players and will focus on developing higher skill levels for both inside players and guards. The camp will be run similarly to the Javelinas college workouts, and current players will demonstrate and participate in the camp alongside the high school campers. The high school camp will cost $100 and will take place in the Steinke Physical Education Center in Kingsville, Texas.
 
The Javelinas will also host a middle school camp, for students entering 3rd-8th grades and takes place Wednesday, June 29, from 1p.m-5p.m, This camp is specifically designed to teach the basic fundamentals of the game in a positive and encouraging environment. Regardless of previous experience, all players are welcome and will be challenged to improve. The Javelina women's basketball coaches and players will provide instruction, with the cost set at $75, while also occurring in the SPEC.
 
Registration for both camps can be found here. There are limited spots available for each camp, and each camper will receive a camp t-shirt, while those participating in the middle school camp will receive a camp basketball.
