KINGSVILLE, Texas – On Senior Day, senior Maya Donkor (McLean, Va.) teamed up with sophomore Raina Zaffar (Guwahati, India) for a win in the No. 1 flight in doubles, then Donkor fought her way to a three-set singles triumph to help lead the Texas A&M-Kingsville women's tennis team to 7-0 victory over the Western New Mexico Mustangs on Sunday afternoon in Lone Star Conference action at the Javelina Tennis Courts in Kingsville, Texas.

This win allows the Javelinas to finish the regular season with a 10-10 record and 5-4 mark in the LSC. WNMU ends the year 6-15 and 0-9 in conference.

The Javelinas got off to a fast start by dominating in doubles play, with sophomores Noemi Sante (Dusseldorf, Germany) and Milou ter Morsche (Goor, Netherlands) logging the first triumph, 6-1, in the No. 2 match. Sophomore Alessa Maier (Hechingen, Germany) and freshman Manuela Turolo (Cividale del Friuli, Italy) collected their 10th win as a tandem by locking down the No. 3 flight, 6-2, and Zaffar and Donkor collected a 6-1 decision to close out the first part of the match with the Javs ahead, 1-0.

The Javs continued to assert their will in the singles matches, with Zaffar cruising in the fourth flight, 6-2, 6-0 and Turolo recording her fourth straight victory, 6-0, 6-3. Sante became the fourth Javelinas to reach double figures in wins, logging her 10th triumph of the year, 6-3, 6-2 at No. 3, while Maier increased her win total to a team-best 14 by a score of 6-2, 6-1.

The fifth flight was secured by ter Morsche, 6-0, 6-4 and Donkor put TAMUK's final point of the day on the scoreboard. The first set in the top flight went to WNMU's Livia Leite, but Donkor was in control the rest of the match, taking the second frame and commanding the third to finish the day with a 5-7, 6-2, 10-1 final.

The next stop for the Javelinas is Arlington, Texas, where they'll take on the Midwestern State Mustangs in the first round of the LSC Tournament on Thursday.
