Angelica Wilson came off the bench tying her season-high of 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting in Texas A&M University-Kingsville's (10-11, 5-10 LSC) 67-53 loss to Tarleton State University (11-10, 10-5 LSC) Thursday evening in Wisdom Gymnasium. Jelly added seven rebounds and two blocked shots in 29 minutes of action.

FIRST PERIOD
With
Jaiton Walls winning the tip, Wade carried over her season-high with the game's opening points. Moments later, Kana, who entered shooting 35.1 percent from long distance, connected on her first trey to give TAMUK a 6-4 lead and just seconds after checking in, Wilson came off the bench with an offensive rebound and three-point play.
Wilson and
Kaylin Roher picked up steals on the defensive end as the latter ended a 3-on-1 fast break attempt that led to a Moore transition bucket from the top of the key.
Moore scored the period's final points after cutting to the hoop off the dish from
Shaq Debose to end the opening quarter with a 15-14 lead in favor of the Javelinas.
The balanced attack by TAMUK offset Bailey Wipff's hot start as the Tarleton State senior scored nine of the team's 14 points.
SECOND PERIOD
An 13-0 spurt by the TexAnns, highlighted by Mackenzie Hailey's seven consecutive points, gave Tarleton State a 32-19 lead with 1:53 left to play in the first half.
Wilson came off the bench with five points, four rebounds and two blocked shots but Kingsville trailed 32-21 at the half. For TSU, Wipff scored a game-high 17 and Hailey added 11. The TexAnns outscored the Javelinas 18-6 in the second quarter.
THIRD PERIOD
The Javelinas and TexAnns traded points in the third period but TAMUK ended on a high note with Wilson beating the buzzer off the Wade assist to end the third trailing by 10.
FOURTH PERIOD
Down double figures with less than three minutes remaining in regulation, head coach
Wade Scott fouled the rest of the way but Tarleton State answered the bell from the charity stripe, going 12-of-17 in the fourth to take the first of two road games from TAMUK, 67-53.
