KINGSVILLE, Texas – Texas A&M University-Kingsville (18-11, 10-7 LSC) rolled tonight inside of the Gil E. Steinke Physical Education Center, toppling UT Permian Basin (4-23, 1-17 LSC) in straight sets. Â

The win gives the Javelinas their sixth consecutive win at home and their fourth sweep in the last five matches held at the Kingsville Hampton Inn Court.Â

TAMUK drilled the Falcons 25-14 in the first set. They were tested in the second stanza but came away with a 25-19 victory before wrapping up the match 25-13 in the third. All-in-all the home team hit .219 and held their opponent to a season-low -.023 attack percentage behind ten team blocks. Â

Krystal Faison achieved her third double-double in five matches after scorching UTPB for a game-high 13 kills and tied
Courtney Rabius with 12 digs. She also tied with
Gabby Atchley, acing the opposition three times.
Shelby Sheets finished with eight kills,
Lexi Wick had five, and both
Madison Brabham and
Haley Hutchinson dominated the nets with seven blocks each.
Casey Klobedans paced the offense with 30 assists.Â

Skyler Friel led the Falcons with five kills followed by Travana Matthews' four kills and team-high six blocks. Â Â
