ODESSA, Texas –  Texas A&M University-Kingsville (11-7, 4-3 LSC) walks out of UTPB Gym with a five-set win against the University of Texas of the Permian Basin (4-12, 1-7) on Friday night.Â

It was the third consecutive match for the Javelinas that went the distance. However, this time they were victorious, outscoring the Falcons 15-11. Although UTPB served well - acing the opposition 8-5 - Â they could not contain TAMUK for the entire match who outhit them .208-.117 and registered 12 blocks. Â

Junior
Madison Brabham anchored the offense with a match-high 20 points with 18 kills and three total blocks.
Krystal Faison was the other Javelina to finish in double figures with 12 kills and logged 17 digs for another double-double this season.
Casey Klobedans also recorded a double-double with 42 assists and 13 digs and finished with a team-high two aces.
Haley Hutchinson concluded the match with seven kills and three blocks, while
Lexi Wick chipped in five kills and a match-high of seven blocks. Both totaled 9.5 points. Other top defensive standouts for the Hoggies consisted of
Kelby Sprinkles and
Courtney Rabius who gathered 17 and 16 digs, respectively.Â

Skyler Friel and Caitlyn Guajardo each had 12 kills to lead the Falcons and Friel also led the team defensively with five blocks in the loss. Â Â

Texas A&M-Kingsville's weekend will conclude tomorrow when they take on West Texas A&M inside The Box at 2 p.m. Â
