KINGSVILLE, Texas (Baseball) –
The Javelinas win streak has reached double figures as Texas A&M University-Kingsville (10-3, 3-0 LSC) defeated Cameron University (11-3, 0-3 LSC), 3-1, in game one, and 9-6, in game two Saturday afternoon at Nolan Ryan Field.

Jimmy Roche went 5-for-7 with three extra base hits and two RBI in the doubleheader wins.

Game One
The Javelinas trailed 1-0 until a two-run fifth allowed the home team to take a one-run lead. Miles Holcomb led off the bottom of the sixth with an inside the park home run to add a run as Texas A&M-Kingsville took game one Saturday, 3-1.

Dalton Perry went 2-for-4 with an RBI from the second spot in the batting order. Roche was 2-for-3 with two doubles and Brayton Carlson reached base safely four times with three walks and a hit by pitch.

Shane Veeder allowed just one run and struck out three in 4.2 innings in the no-decision. Jako Kelm (2-1) punched out two in 2.1 innings in relief to earn the victory and lower his season ERA to 1.96.

Cameron scored in the opening frame and Veeder and Dirk Masters, who fell to 1-1 with the loss after allowing two runs in 4.0 innings, traded zeros until the Hogs put two runs on the scoreboard to take a 2-1 lead. After back-to-back walks to Wesley Aguilar and Carlson, Perry doubled down the left field line to tie the contest at 1-1 and a throwing error allowed TAMUK to take a 2-1 lead.

Holcomb tacked on a run on the inside the park home run as Texas A&M-Kingsville defeated the Aggies, 3-1, in game one.

Game Two
Roche followed his two-hit performance with a 3-for-4 game and two RBI and Zach Smith was 2-for-4 with an RBI as Kingsville defeated the nationally-ranked Aggies, 9-6, to clinch the series victory.

Cameron struck first with a three-run second but imploded in the third as an error opened the game wide open for the Javelinas as the Blue and Gold plated nine in the stanza, taking a 9-3 lead. Texas A&M-Kingsville, who scored nine runs in an inning earlier this season at the University of Houston-Victoria, scored the nine runs on five hits with Carlson, Ruben Almaguer, Smith and Roche picking up singles. Roche's single plated two in the inning and the first baseman, along with Perry and Carlson, collected a stolen base in the frame.

The Aggies chipped away at the deficit and brought in three in the sixth, but Trey Taylor shut the door with a scoreless seventh to earn his second save as the Javelinas defeated Cameron, 9-6.

Hunter Perkins (2-0) picked up the win after striking out six in 5.0 innings. Javarios Banks (2-1) was tagged with the loss after allowing seven runs in 2.0 innings.

The four-game series concludes tomorrow at 1 p.m. Live stats will be available and can be accessed by visiting JavelinaAthletics.com, the official home of your six-time Lone Star Conference champions.
