LAWTON, Okla. (Women's Basketball) – Cameron University (3-6, 1-2 LSC) returned to Aggie Gym in style, defeating one of the hottest teams in the Lone Star Conference in Texas A&M University-Kingsville (6-3, 1-2 LSC), 97-63, Saturday afternoon.
Kaylin Roher led A&M-Kingsville with 11 points, nine coming from behind-the-arc and the senior added four steals, and Meesha Wade finished with eight points, six assists and five rebounds.
FIRST PERIOD
Texas A&M-Kingsville looked sluggish in the opening period and went into the second down 22-8.
SECOND PERIOD
Down 36-16 with 5:57 remaining in the first half, the Javelinas scored eight unanswered points to cut their deficit to 12. Cameron went into the locker room holding a 50-32 lead over the Hogs.
Roher led the way for A&M-Kingsville with nine points, all from three-point range, and Wade, Tee Moore and Essence Sauls added five points apiece. Wade also dished four assists and pulled down four rebounds and Kaylee Kana led the club with five boards. Roher stepped into the passing lane twice and did not turn the ball over.
THIRD PERIOD
The Aggies continued to capitalize on Javelina miscues and increased their lead to 73-47 through three.
FOURTH PERIOD
The second unit of the Hogs received extended minutes and Ope Ibrahim finished with seven points and six rebounds.

The road trip continues with a conference bout at Midwestern State University (2-6, 0-3 LSC) Monday at 5:30 p.m. Live stats and video will be available from the D.L. Ligon Coliseum.

ABOUT THE MUSTANGS
After beginning the season 2-0, Midwestern State lost six consecutive games. The Mustangs are coming off an 84-47 loss to No. 7 Angelo State University Dec. 8.
Whitney Taylor paces the way with 12.0 points and is second on the club with 4.5 rebounds per contest. Micheline Mercelita is tops with 4.6 boards. Kristin Rydell is averaging 9.1 points for the 'Stangs.
