SAN ANTONIO, Texas (Women's Basketball) – Angelica Wilson finished with nine points on 4-of-7 shooting and a team-high six rebounds in Texas A&M University-Kingsville's (2-1) 70-44 exhibition loss to the University of Texas at San Antonio (1-2) Wednesday evening at the UTSA Convocation Center.
Making her first start of the season, Jelly played 21 quality minutes for the Hogs.
Shaq Debose,
Kaylin Roher and
Meesha Wade each scored eight points and
Kaylee Kana added five rebounds.
Loryn Goodwin had the hot hand all evening, scoring a game-high 22 points on 8-of-12 shooting to pace the Roadrunners to their first win of the season. A regular season contest for UTSA, Goodwin added five rebounds and four assists.
The Javelinas will take a much needed breather as they closed out a four game in six day span to begin the 2016-17 campaign. The Hogs return to the Gil E. Steinke Physical Education Center-Kingsville Hampton Inn Court Tuesday, Nov. 22 to host Texas A&M International University at 5:15 p.m. Texas A&M-Kingsville won the season series 2-1 last year, including a win on its home floor in November.
