PORTALES, N.M. (Volleyball) – Texas A&M University-Kingsville (19-6, 9-4 LSC) fell in three sets against Eastern New Mexico University (12-10, 7-5 LSC) at Greyhound Arena in the Saturday night night-cap.
The Javelinas drops one in Portales, N.M. for the first time since 2010 and move to 8-17 on the road in the all-time series against the Greyhounds. Krystal Faison paced the club with ten kills and has recorded double-digit kills in nine of the last ten matches. Ashley Bukowski was next with eight kills , Lexi Wick with seven kills and Haley Hutchinson finished with five kills and added three blocks. Casey Klobedans led the Javs in assists with 23 and Krystal Puente recorded a team-high of 11 digs.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1
Wick accounted for half of the Javelinas ten kills in the opening set but the Greyhounds created distance early and ultimately won the set 25-18.
Set 2
Both clubs played tough in the second stanza that recorded 18 ties and 10 lead changes. Unfortunately, the Hounds came out on top 27-25 despite five kills from Bukowski and Fasion each. Hutchinson finished the set with three kills and three blocks.
Set 3
In yet another tight set, ENMU began to pull away late and defeated the Hogs 25-22 to claim the set and match. Faison led the way with four kills in the set, followed by Valarie Hill who concluded the set with three kills and Bukowski with two kills.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Blue and Gold return home on Friday, October 28 for the rematch against A&M-Commerce and will then close out the month against Texas Woman's on Saturday, October 29.
