CANYON, Texas (Women's Basketball) –
Texas A&M University-Kingsville (5-9, 0-4 LSC) went 8-15 from three-point range but the top-seeded West Texas A&M University Lady Buffs (16-1, 5-1 LSC) redeemed Wednesday's loss at Angelo State University with a 85-49 win over the Javelinas Saturday afternoon in the First United Bank Center.

Kaylin Roher finished with 13 points after going 3-4 from long distance and Jamesha Wade added seven points, six assists and three rebounds.

West Texas A&M outscored Texas A&M-Kingsville in the paint, 42-14, and in points off turnovers, 24-9. Michaela Neuhaus led all scorers with 20 points on 6-7 shooting from behind-the-arc, Lilley Vander Zee scored 12 points and Zantaya Davis and Maddison Wild posted 11 points apiece.

Trailing 18-12 after the first period, the Javelinas were unable to close the gap and went into the half down 36-21.

After a layup to begin the third period, the Hogs were able to cut their deficit to 10 after a 7-0 run, and later in the frame, Roher's three at the 5:40 mark made it an eight-point game. However, the Lady Buffs were able to put together a run of their own to end the quarter with a double digit lead.

The Javelinas continue their road trip with back-to-back games on Wednesday and Thursday at Midwestern State University and Texas Woman's University, respectively.
