ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Freshman middle blocker
Haley Hutchinson led Texas A&M-Kingsville with 10 kills in their 3-1 (26-24, 25-20, 25-14, 25-16) setback to Central Oklahoma Saturday afternoon in John E. and Adaline Simon Athletic Center.
The loss dropped the Javelinas to 2-1 on the year while the Bronchos finish the Maryville Invitational undefeated at 4-0.

Krystal Faison and
Valarie Moehrig all finished with nine kills. Faison also recorded were second straight game with 20 digs. Credited with 35 assists was
Casey Klobedans.
Two attack errors gave the Blue and Gold an early 10-7 lead but UCO responded with five straight points. A Bronchos' attack error followed by kills from
Valarie Moehrig and Hutchinson put TAMUK back in front by one.
Neither team could pull ahead until the very end of the set. With the score knotted 24-24, Hutchinson recorded a kill and
Madison Brabham finished off the first game with another kill.
UCO led the entire second set. The closest the Javelinas got was 17-16 following an attack error by the Bronchos.
The Blue and Gold were held to 22 kills over the final two frames with a .026 attack percentage. Meanwhile, UCO recorded 20 kills and six blocks over the same time.
Next up for TAMUK are the hosts Maryville at 5 p.m. today to conclude the tournament.
