KINGSVILLE, Texas (Volleyball)- Texas A&M University-Kingsville women's volleyball team (7-2) won their mid-week match against St. Mary's. The Javelinas defeated the Lady Rattlers, 3-1.
Kingsville finished the match with set scores of 25-13, 22-25, 25-10 and 25-19. Sophomore
Ashley Bukowski and
Kelsey Washington tied for most kills on the night with 14.
Stephanie Johns had 9 kills while
Krystal Faison had 8.
Ashley Tipps recorded three blocks for the Hoggies.
Defenisvely, the Javelina women had 60 digs led by
Brett Zaccardo with 17 digs and
Krystal Faison with 12. For St. Mary's, Victorria Martinez led with 17 digs and Kelsey Huber led with eight kills.
As a team, Kingsville had a hitting percentage of .343, 61 kills, and five service aces.
The Javelina women continue competition as they travel to Tarleton State on Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. and Angelo State on Sept. 20 at 2 p.m.
