CANYON, Texas (Volleyball) – Texas A&M University-Kingsville (18-12) looks to upset Tarleton State University (20-7) in the opening round of the 2014 Lone Star Conference Championships on Nov. 13 at 5 p.m. at the West Texas A&M University Fieldhouse.
 
The Javelinas enter as the No. 5 seed and the TexAnns finished the regular season No. 4. In the latest regional rankings (released Nov. 5), TSU is ranked No. 6 in the South Central region. Tarleton State swept the two regular season meetings this season.
 
"I am very excited for this tournament," said fourth-year head coach Tanya Allen. "It will be extremely tough competition with the top four seeds being ranked regionally, but it comes down to who is able to execute and I think that our team is ready."

In Lone Star Conference tournament play, Tarleton State is 5-9 and the Javelinas are 7-22. Both clubs are looking for their first ever LSC Championship.
