COMMERCE, Texas (Volleyball) – Anyssa Matheson hit .474 and finished with 11 kills and four blocks as Texas A&M University-Kingsville (17-10, 6-7 LSC) ended the month of October on a three-game win streak, defeating A&M-Commerce (5-21, 3-11 LSC), 25-14, 25-23, 20-25, 25-11, on Halloween at the Field House.
Matheson was one of four Javelina players to reach double figures in kills and the Hogs recorded 60 kills, six aces, 71 digs and 10 blocks in the four-set victory. With the win, Texas A&M-Kingsville swept the regular season series over the Lions and have a chance to reach the 20-win plateau with three games remaining for the first time since 1998 when the Blue and Gold finished 22-12.
Kelsey Washington (15 kills, 11 digs, three blocks and two service aces),
Krystal Faison (12 kills and 12 digs) and
Casey Klobedans (45 assists, 10 digs, three service aces and two blocks) continued to post double-doubles at will and
Stephanie Johns climbed up the career charts yet again, adding 12 kills and six blocks to her stellar senior campaign. Johns now ranks second all-time in assisted blocks and third in total blocks.

Brett Zaccardo finished with a game-high 28 digs to go with her six assists and service ace.
Coming off back-to-back straight set victories, the Hogs got off to a sizzling start on Halloween, turning down their opposition and holding the Lions to just seven kills in the opening set. After defeating A&M-Commerce 25-14 in set one, the Javelinas squeaked past TAMUC in set two, 25-23, to take a 2-0 lead in the Lone Star Conference contest. The Lions matched TAMUK's 16 kills in the third set and cut their deficit to 2-1 despite Kingsville's rally. Down 24-16, the Hogs scored four unanswered points on the brick of losing the set before the Lions were able to end the comeback on a kill by Amy Davault.
However, Texas A&M-Kingsville stormed to a 7-0 lead to open set four and continued to dominate en route to clinching the match with a 25-11 win.
