Phillip Brown enters his second season as the Business Manager for Intercollegiate Athletics and Campus Recreation. Brown joined the Texas A&M University-Kingsville staff in Jan. 2013.

In May 2013, Brown served as the tournament director for the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Baseball Tournament hosted at Nolan Ryan Field on the Campus of the Javelinas.
Brown oversees the daily financial operations, prepares the division’s annual budgets, and assists with the oversight of all internal operations within the division. He also serves as the liaison between athletics and campus recreation and the university’s financial departments.
Prior to joining TAMUK, Brown worked in public accounting, with assignments primarily in auditing with additional duties in tax preparation. Brown also worked in trust tax accounting for a publicly traded regional financial corporation.
Brown holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from the University of Houston and a Master’s of Business Administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce.
Brown is married to the former Alison Fontenot of Ville Platte, La., a pharmacist with Christus Spohn South. They have one daughter, Charlotte, and one son Owen.
