Walters joined the TAMUK football program as a graduate assistant for the 2018 season.
Walters comes to Kingsville after spending the previous two years at Baylor as a student assistant coach for the Bears. Walters broke down game film of the offensive opponents to create scouting reports for the defensive staff while at Baylor.
Prior to Baylor, Walters spent a year as a head coach for the seven-on-seven passing team at Pleasanton High School, working on technical skills with the quarterbacks, running backs and receivers. Before that, Walters played for LSC foe A&M-Commerce for a season as a quarterback before transferring to Baylor.
A 2013 graduate of Pleasanton H.S. where he started all four years as quarterback, Walters received his B.A. in international studies from Baylor in Winter 2017.
