The first championship for a women's athletic program in TAMUK history.

Allen came to the Javelinas after three outstanding seasons as the head coach of the Frank Phillips College volleyball program. There, she posted a 100-30 record and claimed three Western Junior College Athletic Conference titles and a pair of NJCAA Region V West Championships.
