Texas A&M - Kingsville Athletics

Raina Zaffar enters her second year as a graduate assistant with the Texas A&M University-Kingsville women’s tennis program after completing her playing career as a Javelina in 2024. 

A four-year letter winner from 2020-2024, Zaffar was an integral part of a successful era in the program's history. She helped lead the Javelinas to their first-ever NCAA South Central Regional appearance in 2020-2021. 

She served as team captain during her final two seasons for the Javelinas and was a four-time ITA All-Academic Scholar Athlete. Competed in both singles and doubles play throughout her career, achieving regional rankings as high as 5th in doubles and defeating nationally ranked opponents at the LSC tournament.

Zaffar concluded her time with the Javelinas with a 12-7 record in singles play that included an impressive eight-match win streak.

Zaffar earned her bachelor's degree from Texas A&M-Kingsville in 2024 and is currently pursuing a master's.
