David Brock enters his 13th year on the athletic administrative staff at Texas A&M University-Kingsville.
He also serves as the coordinator and director for home track & field meets at Javelina Stadium.
A lifelong Texas track and field coach, Brock has dedicated 35 years to coaching at the high school level. He has been a Special Olympics Athletics coach for 16 years. He assisted in the founding of the Karnes County Texas Special Olympics athletic teams. Brock also is a member of the Texas High School Coaches Association and U.S.A. Track and Field.
Brock was the athletic director and coached football, basketball and track and field for 27 years at Falls City High School. He also coached at Runge High School, Medina High School and H.M. King High School in Kingsville.
Brock's track & field teams have won 2 U.I.L. state championships, three state runner-up titles, six regional track championships and 33 district titles. He finished his basketball coaching career with over 400 victories.
Brock served active duty in the United State Air Force and Texas Air National Guard and holds a Master’s Degree from Texas A&I University. He is married to Janis Wilson Brock. They have two sons, Cory David of Conroe, Texas and Kirby David of Kingsville, along with four grandchildren.
