Biography
High School: Ashley and Brandy Rivera are twin sisters who hail from McAllen High School where they had excellent careers. The duo led McAllen to the District 30-5A championship in 2010. Ashley fired an 83-85=168 and finished second while Brandy posted an 88-81=169 to finish fourth. Each performed well at the Region IV-5A championships. Ashley shot an 82-87=169 while Brandy edged her out with an 81-83=164. They also led the team to wins at the LaJoya Invitational played at Martin’s Valley Ranch Golf Course and at the McAllen Invitational. Brandy was a two-time first team all-district and two-time second team all-district selection. She was named the district MVP in 2008-09 with a scoring average of 80. She was a three-time Regional qualifier. She was a member of the National Honor Society.
Personal: Rivera is the daughter of Robert Rivera and Nora Patruno and is studying Nutrition.
