Cierra Dvorak

Dvorak joined the squad for the 2022-23 season after obtaining a bachelor's degree in psychology with minors in professional foundation and health promotions from the College of Idaho, where she played on the women's basketball team.

With Dvorak's help the 2022-23 campaign featured a historic year, in which, the team secured the fifth seed in the Lone Star Conference Tournament, representing TAMUK's highest finish in the league since the 2000-01 season. The squad finished 18-11 for the most Blue and Gold wins since 2009-10 and tied that group for the fifth-highest total in program history. Additionally, the Javelinas went 15-7 in conference play, matching the 1999-00 team for the most LSC victories in school history.

Four individuals were named to the 2022-23 All-LSC teams. Briana Pena completed her senior season with a Third-Team nod and an All-Academic selection, becoming the first Javelinas to accomplish both feats since Javelina Hall of Famer Lorie Martinez in 1998. Georgia Ohiaeri and Mia Rivers joined Pena on the Third Team, while Jayde Tschritter was an honorable mention. The four All-LSC selections represented the most since the 2010 season.

She has spent time as an assistant girls' basketball coach at Coeur d'Alene High School while serving as the special education administrative assistant at the school district. Additionally, she has had stints as a personal trainer and has served as a volunteer youth basketball coach from 2017-2020.

Dvorak brought experience from multiple collegiate levels, first playing point guard at North Idaho Junior College. She was named team captain at NIJC while being nominated for Female Athlete of the Year twice. Additionally, she received distinction as a two-time North Western Athletic Conference All-Eastern Region Player while picking up a league all-star selection in 2018-19.

Following her JUCO career, she transitioned to NCAA Division II with Nebraska-Kearney before finishing her career at the College of Idaho.Â
