Biography

2014 (Fr. in BB, Sr. in FB): Did not appear in any games on the diamond, but competed in eight games as one of the four captains of the football program… appeared in eight games for the Javelinas... finished with 19 catches for 202 yards and rushed for 28 yards on the season... collected 10 or more yards receiving in six games... recorded a season-high 20 yard rush versus Angelo State (Oct. 18)... tallied a season-high six catches for 87 yards in season finale against McMurry (Nov. 15).

2013 (Jr. in FB): Appeared in all 10 games for the Texas A&M University-Kingsville football team… reached the end zone three times… recorded 18 catches and 232 total receiving yards, and rushed for nine yards… four receptions for 63 yards, including first touchdown as a Javelina versus Texas A&M University-Commerce (10/12)… career-high 95 yards receiving at Angelo State University (11/9)… ended the season with two touchdowns in the final three games… member of the TAMUK baseball team, but did not see action as a left-handed pitcher.
 
Grambling State: Lettered two seasons for the Grambling State University football team in Grambling, La.
 
High School: Attended Jesse H. Jones High School in Houston Texas… three-sport athlete for the Falcons… earned nine total letters (three in football, three in baseball and three in track)… finished with 56 receptions for 1,000 yards and nine touchdowns… earned wide receiver honors in 2011… named baseball team’s Most Valuable Player in 2011… set school record for most no-hitters in a single season (three in 2011)… District 21-4A Pitcher of the Year and MVP… concluded senior campaign with 130 strikeouts and two 18-strikeout performances.
 
Personal: Born Sept. 11, 1992… son of Denise Brown and nephew of Solomon Guevara… has a twin sister, Muminah… postgraduate goal is to work in college athletics and become an athletics director… chose TAMUK because it gave him a great opportunity to get a degree and compete for premier Division II football and baseball programs… sports business major and business administration minor.
