First Season
Stephen Machorro is in his first season as an assistant coach on the Texas A&M University-Kingsville baseball staff. He will assist with all outfielders, infielders and catchers.
“Macho” as he is referred to by his players, joined the staff in 2015 after four seasons as the head assistant at St. Pius X High School in Houston. There, he assisted with all outfield, infield and catcher drills and was instrumental in the growth of his players. St. Pius advanced to the Final Four in all four seasons and earned the Tapps 5A State Championship twice.
Machorro was also the head coach of the Marucci Bulls, 14-under and 12-under baseball programs that earned state titles.
A two-year letterman at Ranger Junior College, Machorro graduated in 2008 with an associate’s degree. He is currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree at Texas A&M-Kingsville in kinesiology.
