2022: Only missed one game, making 61 starts...During her senior year, Kelly eclipsed the program's career records in games played (241), at-bats (822), runs scored (204) and hits (290)...Finished third in the nation in steals with 48, which broke her own program record and put her career total at a school-best 177...Batted .371 with a team-high four triples, three doubles, 24 RBIs and 54 runs scored, tied for third in the LSC...Her 73 hits were third-most in the conference...Hit in 11 straight games from Feb. 11th - 28th...Put together a nine-game hit streak from March 13th - 27th...Had a run of 13 straight games with a stolen base from Feb. 5th - 28th...Went 3-for-3 with three runs scored and three steals on Feb. 13th vs. Hillsdale...Had another 3-for-3 days with three runs, one RBI and swiped three more bags on March 25th.
2021: Started 37 games...Posted a .353 average with 32 runs scored, her team's second-highest total, and drove in seven runs...Stole 25 bases, the sixth-highest total in the LSC...Swiped 10 bags in the season's first 10 games...Put together an 18-game hit streak from 3/6 - 4/9...Pounded out three hits and scored three runs in a win over Lubbock Christian on 4/16.
2020: In the starting lineup for every game for the third straight season...Led the nation with 33 steals, becoming the first Javelina to ever top the national leaderboard in that statistic...Swiped multiple bags in a game 13 times, including a three-steal day against Christian Brothers on Feb. 9th...Broke the program record for career stolen bases on Feb. 22nd against Texas A&M International, finishing the year with 104...Her 31 hits and 24 runs scored both put her in the top 10 in the Lone Star Conference...Hit .348, the team's second highest batting average...Picked up multiple hits in five of her team's first nine games...Went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, two steals and an RBI in a win over Tarleton on Feb. 2nd...Collected three more hits and two RBIs with a run and a steal on Feb. 8th against Ouachita Baptist.
2019: Was in the starting lineup for all 62 games...Shattered the program record for steals in a season with 41, leading the LSC and finishing 15th in the nation in that statistic...Her 72 hits were the LSC's second-most and helped her craft a .353 average, second-best on the team...Tied for third in the LSC with 57 runs scored...LSC Hitter of the Week for the period of Feb. 27th - March 5th...Broke TAMUK's stolen base record with a swipe againt MSU Texas on April 19th...Took three bags in a game three times, including once against A&M-Commerce on March 2nd...Scored three runs and drove in another against Tarleton on Feb. 24th...Went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and two stolen bases in a win over No. 9 West Texas A&M on March 30th...Scored at least one run in 11 consecutive games from April 27th - May 24th.
2018: Started all 55 games in her first year in Kingsville...Stole 30 bases, the second-highest, single-season total in program history, as well as in the Lone Star Conference in 2018...Her 67 hits and 37 runs scored were the most on the roster...Put together a .337 average...Stole multiple bases in a game eight times, including a pair of three-steal performances...Stole at least one base in seven straight games from March 13th - 19th...Hit safely in 16 consecutive games from February 16th - March 10th...Racked up eight hits in 11 at-bats, scored five times, drove in three runs, swiped three bags and homered over three games against UT Permain Basin on March 2nd and 3rd...Went 9-for-16 with eight runs scored and six steals in three games against Eastern New Mexico on April 13th and 14th.
High School: Loren Kelly attended Rockport Fulton HS and made first-team all-district as a shortstop both her freshman and sophomore year...As a junior she was the defensive player of the year and academic all-district selection and her senior year she was offensive player of the year academic all-district selection.
Personal: Loren Kelly enjoys horror movies like Vampire Diaries and It. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends.
