KINGSVILLE, Texas – The Texas A&M-Kingsville women's basketball team prepares for the St. Edwards Hilltoppers as they look to defend their home court once again Saturday at 1:00 PM.
The Javelinas (5-8, 1-5 LSC) are heading into Saturday's matchup after starting out the new year with a win over the St. Mary's Rattlers 64-56. The Javelinas look to continue as they had three players tied for leading scorer with 11 last time out, and
Mia Rivers was able to capture 8 assists only three away from breaking the school's all-time career assists record. The Javelinas begin the new year turning things around as they have begun to put it together and just in time as they reached the heart of LSC conference play.
St. Edward's (5-6, 2-3 LSC) comes into Saturday looking for a quick turnaround of fates after they started out 2024 with a loss to the Texas A&M International University Dustdevils 72-91.
The Javelinas and Hilltoppers have met a total 14 times dating back to the 2012-13 season. St. Edward's holds the overall matchup with a 11-3 all-time record, but both teams able to protect home court last season going 1-1 against each other on the season series.
