On the road again as the Javelinas head to Denton, Texas ahead of their match with #14 TWU

KINGSVILLE, Texas – The Texas A&M-Kingsville women's basketball team prepares for the #14 Texas Woman's Pioneers this time out as they begin another road trip, and are set to face off Thursday January 18th at 5:30 P.M.

The Javelinas (7-9, 3-6 LSC) are heading into Thursday's matchup after Taking one away in their last matchup against the Oklahoma Christian Eagles 60-57. The Javelinas led their opponent in major offensive and defensive categories such as FG% (39.6% - 33.3%), Three Point % (29.4%-11.1%), Blocks (4-0) and steals (4-3) but fell slightly short in other categories such as rebounds (37-39) and Free Throw% (65.0% - 65.4%).

#14 Texas Woman's (14-3, 8-1 LSC) comes into Thursday undefeated in the year 2024 winning four straight, their most recent matchup against the St. Edward's Hilltoppers coming out on top 83-64.

The Javelinas and Pioneers have met a grand total of 66 times dating all the way back to December 2nd, 1988, during the 1988-89 season. The Pioneers hold the overall matchup with a 34-32 all-time record.
