KINGSVILLE, Texas – The Texas A&M-Kingsville women's basketball team prepares for Texas A&M-International as they will head to Laredo and face off against the Dustdevils Saturday at 1:00 P.M.
The Javelinas (4-7, 0-4 LSC) are heading into Saturday's matchup after falling to the Lubbock Christian Lady Chaps the last time out in a low scoring affair 28-42. The Javelinas shot 32.5% from the field and 20.0% from beyond the arc, in a game that saw the blue and gold play solid on defense, but also score their least number of points since the 2019-20 season where they scored 29.
Texas A&M-International (9-2, 2-2 LSC) comes into Saturday after a 61-71 loss at the hands of the West Texas Lady Buffs, where they shot 30.4% from the field and 20.0% from three.
The Javelinas and Dustdevils are very familiar with one another having met 30 total times dating back to the 2007-08 season. The Javelinas hold the overall matchup with a 17-13 all-time record. The last matchup between these squads being the 2022-23 season where they played a home and home against one another, seeing the Javelinas take both in close contests 72-70 and 65-60.
