Javelinas travel to San Antonio for St. Mary’s Thanksgiving Classic

The Lone Star Conference meets the Great American Conference as TAMUK Takes on Oklahoma Baptist

KINGSVILLE, Texas – The Texas A&M-Kingsville women's basketball tea m heads to The Alamo City for the two day, St. Mary's Thanksgiving Classic. Their first task will be the Oklahoma Baptist Bison Friday at 4:00 PM CT at the Bill Greehey Arena on the campus of St. Mary's University.

The Javelinas (2-3, 0-0 LSC) are heading into Friday's matchup after taking down the Adams State Grizzlies 69-66. The Javelinas took the win with an impressive 16-0 run to close out the game, shooting 44.0% from the field and 31.8% from beyond the arc, in a game that also saw the blue and gold out rebounding their opponent 38-30.

Oklahoma Baptist (3-2, 0-0 GAC) comes into Friday after a 85-59 victory over the Midwestern State Mustangs shooting 45.2% from the field and 34.8% from three, leading the Mustangs in all major categories.

The Javelinas and Bison have never met, this being the first matchup between the two squads. Their history starts Friday 0-0 all-time.
