KINGSVILLE, Texas – The Texas A&M-Kingsville women's basketball team hits the road again, this time heading to Alamosa, Colorado taking on the Adams State Grizzlies finishing up their LSC-RMAC crossover. The Javelinas will be tipping off 7,545 feet above sea level this time in Plachy Hall Saturday at 6:30 P.M CT.
The Javelinas (1-3, 0-0 LSC) are heading into Saturday's matchup after taking down the Western Colorado Mountaineers 76-60. The Javelinas took the lead early and never gave it up as they went 49.1% from the field and 50.0% from beyond the arc, in a game that also saw the blue and gold out rebounding their opponent 35-26.
Adams State (3-2, 0-0 RMAC) comes into Saturday after a 70-58 loss at the hands of Eastern New Mexico shooting 35.5% from the field and 33.3% from three, falling behind the Greyhounds in most major categories.
The Javelinas and Grizzlies have met one time in their history starting their matchups in 2022. The Javelinas topped the Grizzlies the last time out 63-41 at the Steinke Physical Education Center putting their all-time record at 1-0.
