Javelinas close home schedule against Falcons and Mustangs

TAMUK will honor two seniors prior to tip off against WNMU on Saturday

THE MATCHUPS
• The Javelinas return to the SPEC to take on UT Permian Basin and Western New Mexico
• TAMUK will tip off against UTPB at 5:30 p.m. CT on Feb. 21 for Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day
• The Blue and Gold will celebrate Senior Day on Feb. 23 prior to the 2 p.m. CT tip off against WNMU
• The Javelinas are looking to snap a seven-game skid after losses to Eastern New Mexico and UT Permian Basin
• Brynae Thompson remains as the leading scorer for TAMUK at 15.4 per game
• Cloe Lane upped her season average to 11.8 following three straight games scoring over 16 points
• UTPB record its first win in conference over the weekend against Cameron, but fell to MSU Texas
• Khali Pippins-Tryon upped her average to 13.1 ppg alongside a 4.2 rpg mark
• Lemia Ntor-Ue sits second on the team with 9.1 points per outing

Last Time Out
• TAMUK went 0-2 on the week yet again following losses to Eastern New Mexico and then-No. 20 West Texas A&M
• Brynae Thompson and Cloe Lane led the offensive effort for the Javelinas at 18 and 16 points, respectively
• Meador added eight points and eight rebounds in the starting lineup
• Lane added another 19 points to up her average to 11.8 on the year in the loss to WT, and was one rebound shy of her first double-double after finishing with nine
• Tapps poured in 11 points off the bench for TAMUK
• Meador again added eight points and came away with five rebounds
 
LSC Player of the Week
• Brynae Thompson took home LSC Offensive Player of the Week honors on Jan. 7 after her 28-point performance against the Pioneers
• It was the first LSC honor for a Javelina since Nov. 29, 2016, when Kaylin Roher took home the Defensive Player of the Week award from the conference
• The last Javelina to take home LSC Offensive Player of the Week was Rosalie Cutri on Dec. 17, 2013
 
90 Degrees
• TAMUK reached the 90-point plateau in the win over the Dustdevils for the first time since February 3, 2018, a 92-91 triple-overtime loss to Cameron
• The Javelinas last tallied a win with 90 points on Nov. 30, 2013, a 92-86 double-overtime decision against TAMIU
 
Pickpocket
• Lane nabbed a season-high seven steals in the win over TAMIU on Dec. 17
• Seven steals is the most in a single game for the Javelinas in over a decade with the single-game high of 10 originally set on March 21, 2001, by Ashley White against North Dakota
 
Double Vision
• Bri-Anna Soliz posted the first double-double of the year for the Javelinas in the 86-84 upset over then-No. 2 West Texas A&M on January 10, with 13 points and 15 rebounds
• Soliz's second double-double came courtesy of the 71-67 win over MSU Texas on January 24 where she tallied 16 points and 12 rebounds in the contest
• Danielle Meador secured the second double-double of the year with 11 points and 11 rebounds in the win over Western New Mexico on January 17
• Meador posted her second double-double of the year with 10 points and 10 rebounds in the loss to Cameron on January 26
 
#00 Lidia Guiral - Fraga, Spain
• Season-high 21 minutes against Black Hills State on Nov. 9, scored five points against TAMUC on Jan. 31

#2 Danielle Meador - Corpus Christi, Texas
• Season-high 19 points twice this year, against TAMIU on Nov. 20 and against TWU on Jan. 5
• Grabbed a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds against WNMU on Jan. 17
• Secure her second double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds against CU on Jan. 26
• Transfer from Kilgore College, appeared in 23 games, averaging 21.9 mpg and 5.9 ppg

• Season-high 18 minutes against TAMUC on Jan. 31, six points against TSU on Feb. 2 and ASU on Dec. 6

• Totaled 18 minutes against TAMUC on Dec. 1
• Scored four points against Tarleton on Feb. 2
• Appeared in 27 total games for two years for Adams State, averaged 2.6 ppg in 2016-17
• Averaged 3.3 minutes in 2015-16 and 8.2 minutes in 2016-17
 
#13 Ravae Payne - Pearland, Texas
• Season-high nine 17 points and three steals against TAMIU on Dec. 17
• Transfer from South Plains College
• Appeared in 14 games, averaged 1.3 points on 3.5 minutes per game for SPC
 
#14 Cloe Lane - Kansas City, Mo.
• Season-high 25 points against TWU on Feb. 7; 23 points against WT on Jan. 10
• Recorded at least five steals in four different games; season-high seven against TAMIU on Dec. 17
• Appeared in 29 games with five starts for Alcorn State last year, averaging 8.0 points per game
• First Team All-Southern Conference for St. Petersburg after appearing in 54 games
 
#15 Victoria Salinas - Corpus Christi, Texas
• Season-high 11 points against CSC on Nov. 10, 23 minutes against Tarleton on Nov. 29
