COMMERCE, Texas (Women's Basketball) – The break is over and Texas A&M University-Kingsville (5-5) looks to hand Texas A&M University-Commerce (6-5) a Lone Star Conference loss on Jan. 6 at 5:30 p.m. in the Field House.

The game will be Kingsville's first regular season matchup since Dec. 12 and first game since an exhibition at UTSA on Dec. 19.

2016 begins with the conference opener for both clubs. The Lions were picked to finish sixth in the LSC Preseason Poll and the Javelinas were tabbed to place ninth.

All-Time SeriesA&M-Commerce leads the all-time series 31-30 after sweeping the season series in 2014-15. The Lions are 18-12 against the Hogs in the Field House.

Inside the StatisticsKaylin Roher leads the team in points and steals, scoring 11.6 points per game and adding 1.7 steals. She has reached double figures five times this season, including a 21-point performance in a win versus Concordia-Irvine. In the exhibition at Lamar (Dec. 17), Roher scored 21 on 5-of-10 shooting from three-point range.

Kyra Bauer and
Joslyn Smith provide one of the best second unit tandems in the league averaging a combined 13.6 points and 10.0 rebounds. Smith leads the team with 5.8 rebounds per contest, followed by
Lily Hospers' 5.0.
TaSheena Moore is averaging 7.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and a team-best 2.6 assists per game.

A balanced offense leads the Lions, with Shomari Harris, Khala Riley, Amari Jones and Gabby Scott all averaging over 9.0 points per game. Jones adds 9.6 rebounds, 1.7 steals, 1.4 blocks and a steal per contest.
