KINGSVILLE, Texas (Women's Basketball) –
Come support the Javelinas inside the Gil H. Steinke Physical Education Center-Kingsville Hampton Inn Court the day after Thanksgiving as Texas A&M University-Kingsville (4-1) hosts the University of Texas of the Permian Basin (2-3) at 2 p.m. on Nov. 27. Three days later, the Javelinas return the favor by heading to nearby Odessa to take on the Falcons on Nov. 30.
 
The Javelinas are 4-1 in 2015-16 under second-year head coach Wade Scott after going 19-of-20 from the charity stripe in the win over St. Edward's University on Tuesday. Kyra Bauer finished with a career-high 22 points off the bench. On the year, the senior forward is averaging 9.4 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists and is shooting 53.8 percent from the floor. Leading the way in her first season in a Javelina uniform is Kaylin Roher with 12.8 points to go with her 2.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 2.0 steals per contest. Jamesha Wade has swatted away five shots in five starts and Joslyn Smith is shooting 57.1 percent off the bench, scoring 7.8 points and pulling down 5.4 rebounds.
 
Texas A&M-Kingsville is 3-1 against South Central Regional opponents this season. UTPB holds the all-time series edge 3-0 and the Falcons enter Kingsville with a 2-3 record after back-to-back losses to Fort Lewis and Eastern New Mexico University, respectively.
 
Niniva Taito is averaging a team-high 17.4 points and is shooting 48.6 from three-point range. She adds 3.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists and a steal per game and Shanna Taylor adds 11.4 points and 3.8 rebounds. Khadijah Vigil has blocked four shots in five games and averages 8.6 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.
