Lake was perfect from the field as she hit all six of her shots en route to 13 total points off the bench in the win over the Mustangs. She also added two rebounds and one assist as one of three Javelinas to score over 10 points in the decision.

TAMUK led 7-2 by the first media timeout courtesy of a bucket from both Lake and classmate Janessa Payne (Aledo, Texas). The Blue and Gold held an 11-8 lead heading into the second quarter while a 23-17 advantage held firm at halftime.

WNMU compiled an 11-2 run for a 28-27 led with 5:50 left in the third before Lake sparked, and subsequently bookended, a 12-2 Javelina surge as she took the feed from sophomore Kryslyn Jones (Edmond, Okla.). She provided the last two points in the run from the line and added her final four points in following the last media timeout in the fourth.
