Luna went off in back-to-back games to begin the season and put his name in the Javelina record books in the process. On Friday night, he tied a program record by sinking nine three-pointers and finished the evening with a career-high 27 points.
On Saturday, he did one better by tallying 28 points in an 84-74 Javelina win over Chadron State, hitting 10-of-13 from the floor. For the week, Luna’s 67.9% from the field, including 13-of-20 on treys, and his average of 27.5 points per game is the highest in the LSC.
