Cauthen led a defensive effort for the Hog football program with 11 tackles, seven solo, and a fumble recovery for a touchdown en route to a 24-10 win over Western Oregon in the home opener of the 2021 campaign.

Cauthen scooped the loose ball in the third quarter as redshirt sophomore James Perez (New Braunfels, Texas) smothered WOU quarterback Ryan Worthley to knock it loose and took it six yards for the score and a 17-3 lead.

On the year, Cauthen owns 16 tackles, nine solo, through the first two games of the season.
