TAMUK was down by as much as 16 in the first half before cutting the deficit to five at the break and took the lead for good with 8:44 remaining in the game.
He followed that up with 18 more points off the bench in the loss to No. 15 DBU on January 4 as he was 6-for-13 from the field and 4-for-6 from the line. He also posted five rebounds, two assists and two steals in the loss to the Patriots as he pushed his season average to 13.8 points per game in 12 games off the bench.
For the year, Thomas is shooting 42.1% from the field, including a 42.2% rate from long range, and a 75.6% clip from the charity stripe. Through seven Lone Star Conference games, the transfer from Coastal Bend College is averaging 16.9 points per game, seventh best in the league.
