He buried 5-of-12 shots from the field, including a 4-for-9 mark from beyond the arc, hit nine of his 12 free throw attempts, and came away with two rebounds and three assists in the victory.
The last time Thomas hit 23 points was on January 31, 2019, in a narrow 80-77 loss to A&M-Commerce in the midst of league play. He finished with 31 minutes in the starting lineup and shot 50% from the floor at 6-for-12 along with four three-pointers.
On the year, Thomas is averaging 13.1 points per game on a 38.7% clip along with 1.9 rebounds and has scored at least 10 points in five separate contests.
