Thomas, for the Javelina men’s basketball program, received his first honor after averaging 17.5 points per game as the team went 2-0 to open league play. He started his weekend with 16 points on 6-for-12 shooting off the bench and added two rebounds and one steal in the 58-57 win over Oklahoma Christian, and topped it off with 19 points on a 5-for-8 clip from the floor alongside one rebound and two steals in the 66-61 win over UAFS.
On the year, Thomas leads the team with an 11.8 scoring average on a 41.5% shooting clip to go with 1.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.2 steals on the year, all off the bench.
