Martinez turned in career highs in catches, yards, and touchdowns in the loss to West Texas A&M. He finished with seven grabs for 129 yards and two touchdowns as the Javelinas fell 35-31 to the Buffs on Senior Day.

The local native caught his first touchdown pass on the opening drive of the game as senior Koy Detmer Jr. (Somerset, Texas) found the H.M. King High School product for 53 yards over the middle and a 7-0 lead by the 12:36 mark. The second touchdown came at the start of the second quarter as a fumble recovery by junior Jacob Clarkson (Houston, Texas) resulted in a 30-yard strike from Detmer Jr. to Martinez four plays later for a 17-0 Hog lead.

On the year, Martinez has 30 catches for 394 yards and a team-high three touchdowns following his performance Saturday afternoon.
