Lopez posted 122 yards on 17 carries for three touchdowns in the win over WNMU on Saturday in Silver City, N.M., as TAMUK outscored their opponents 30-7 in the second half of the contest. He pushed his season total to 11 scores with his second three-touchdown performance of the year as he also tallied three in the shutout win over Sul Ross State on September 14.

Lopez rushed for his first score at the end of the first half to cut the deficit to 23-14 with less than a minute to play and added a six-yard rumble at the end of the third quarter to cap off a 98-yard drive to tie the contest at 30 apiece. His final touchdown came in the waning minutes of the fourth quarter as he punched the ball in from one yard out to seal the victory at 44-30.
