For the women’s team, Thompson once again led the Javelinas in scoring on the week as she averaged 17 points per game between the win against TAMIU and a loss to SEU. The Houston native piled on a season-high 24 points on 9-for-16 from the floor, made all three of the 3-pointers, and added seven rebounds and three steals in an 8-69 win against the Dustdevils.

Thompson followed up with a team-high 10 points in the 62-43 loss to St. Edward’s over the weekend. On the year, she has lead the Blue and Gold in scoring in four straight contests for a season average of 14.4 on a .475 shooting clip. She is also averaging three rebounds per game and is second on the team with seven steals through five games.
