For the football program, Pelrean piled up a season-high 153 yards on the ground in the Hogs’ 37-34 win over Western New Mexico on homecoming and added one touchdown to put TAMUK ahead for good.

Pelrean broke off a 62-yard touchdown run midway through the second quarter to give the hosts a 16-14 lead at the 9:19 mark of the second quarter for his fifth touchdown of the year on the ground.

For the season, the Houston native has a team-high 574 rushing yards and five scores with a long rush of 69 yards. He also broke the 100-yard mark on the ground in TAMUK’s 52-10 win over Texas Wesleyan to take home his first IBC Player of the Week award and is now tied with teammate Koy Detmer Jr. (Somerset, Texas) for most honors on the men’s side with two in 2018-19.
