On the court, North helped guide the Javelina offense that turned in a .182 clip in the three wins over the past weekend. TAMUK went 3-2 with wins against St. Mary’s (TX) and St. Edward’s while coming up short in losses to Angelo State and No. 20 Tarleton.
North put up double-digit assists in all five matches on the week and has reached the double-digit plateau in helpers in all 17 of the Blue and Gold’s matches in 2018. The Red Oak, Texas, native tallied 14 in the three-set win over the Rattlers in Kingsville to begin the week, added 30 in a five-set thriller against St. Edward’s, tallied 20 and 24 against Angelo State and Tarleton, respectively, and closed her week with a season-high 48 in a five-set win over StMU.
On the year, North has 413 assists to her name as part of a primarily 5-2 offensive look for the Javelinas, good for 6.35 per set in only her first year at TAMUK. She also has 123 total digs as she put away a season-best 12 each against the Hilltoppers and Rattlers.
