Javier Lopez was in midseason form in the Texas A&M Team Invitational, winning the 60m hurdles and qualifying for nationals, crossing the finish line in 7.88, the fifth best mark in school history and fifth best mark in Division II this season... Lopez's provisional run of 7.90 was the eighth best time in Javelina history.
