Kaina Martinez blew away the competition in the 100m dash at the Angelo State Relays last week. She set a new school record with a time of 11.47. The previous mark of 11.49 was set in 2004 by LaShawndra Ratcliff. Martinez's time is the fastest in the conference and nation. She also helped the 4x400m relay team set a school record (3:41.99) for the third straight meet and on the second place 4x100m relay squad.
