Amanda Knight

Amanda Knight joined the Javelina athletic department in March 2011. She came from Campbell University where she was the Assistant Director for Academic Services. She takes over the position of Assistant Athletic Director for Academic Outreach and the Senior Woman Administrator. In addition, she is the SAAC Advisor. Knight played a critical role in the A&M-Kingsville SAAC winning a second straight Lone Star Conference SAAC Cup in 2011. She organized the 2011 LSC SAAC Summer Retreat that was hosted in Kingsville. Knight has been working in the academic and compliance areas of athletics at the NCAA Division I level since 2007 at both Grambling State University and Campbell. She owns a Sport Management degree from Georgia Southern University and a Master of Science degree in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration from California University of Pennsylvania. Knight has worked extensively with the academic services at Campbell. She monitored the Academic Center, assisted with the Life Skills Program, supervised the Community Service Program, served as administrative liaison for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and assisted with the First Year Experience Class. Knight has also been very involved in a number of volunteer organizations including Operation In As Much and Relay for Life. | |||||||||||
